Outer packaging for bulky and heavy loads
"Pallets Bulgaria Ltd. offers various solutions for external transport packaging made of wood, which are specially designed for different volume and weight products and goods. One of the most widespread products for packing and transporting cargo, with almost universal application, are wooden pallets, skids, and crates (boxes).
Our pallets are used in a variety of applications and come in many different shapes, constructions, sizes, and compositions depending on the specific requirements of the customer and the area of application. The most common are wooden flat pallets. Various standard sizes for pallets have been adopted around the world for ease of circulation, better filling of vehicles, etc. We mention this only from a cognitive point of view because our specialty and passion is non-standard pallets, and we boast of manufacturing over forty sizes and specifications of pallets.
For the uninitiated, the difference between a pallet and a skid is sometimes hard to grasp. In the most general terms, skids, unlike pallets, have no bottom board and the load rests on a plank sled or leg. Often, the rack is a more cost-effective and economically sound choice and an option that completely replaces the pallet and makes it easier to slide the load (due to reduced friction). The difference in construction provides much better mobility of the rack compared to that of a pallet, which is another reason for our contracting customers to opt for a more resource-saving option when transporting heavy loads. Skids have the necessary resistance and strength to withstand and stabilize heavy goods. In addition, the rack takes up less storage space as the lack of a bottom panel gives more compactness and flexibility. Regardless of whether a manufacturer or supplier would opt for pallets or racks, both are a very good solution for the safe transportation and position stabilization of bulky and heavy loads.
The crates we produce are different in type, meeting different requirements according to the type of goods being transported. We supply frame crates for heavy items, open crates that provide ventilation to keep food and "breathable" products fresh, and closed crates to secure goods during transport. In the case of high-value or delicate goods in terms of structure and content, crates are a suitable solution as they offer additional protection. Crates, or as you may also see them referred to as crates and/or boxes, are a very stable and secure transport package because they can hold a large volume of goods. Crates offer more protection than pallets as the items are enclosed, allowing for the safer transportation of fragile items such as glass or electronics.
"PALETTI BULGARIA Ltd owns a sterilization chamber for heat treatment /sterilization/ of pallets and other wooden packaging material according to the requirements of the Bulgarian phytosanitary authorities. ISPM 15: The international standard for solid wood packaging material According to this standard, pallets and other types of transport packaging intended for export must be sterilized to avoid the transfer between countries of pathogens /bacteria, fungi/ and harmful insects on wood.
A heat treatment facility also called a drying chamber, must be able to be used to conduct a heat treatment of the packaging material at a temperature of 56 C in the heartwood for 30 minutes.
The heat treatment facilities have probes to monitor the temperature inside the facility and probes to monitor the temperature in the core of the timber. The facility is equipped with an automatic air temperature recording system with the required number of probes.
The company manufactures compressed pallet blocks, made entirely from wood chips from residual materials and wood waste, in three sizes:
The technological line for the production of the pressed blocks has been defined by us as a local innovation for Bulgaria and has been built with the financial support of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
Pressed pallet blocks made entirely from wood chips from residual materials and wood waste have significant advantages over pallet blocks made from solid wood or plastic, namely:
